School Term and INSET Days 22/23

The outcome of E21C consultation on the proposal for Autumn half term to move to two weeks from 2022/23.

Thank you for taking part in the recent consultation to move the Autumn half term to two weeks.

Consultation outcome:

The consultation for staff, parents and carers took place between 14th January and 10th February 2022. At the time of consultation, we did not have INSETdays proposed, these are now detailed.

Parents and Carers (Coopers and the four Primary Schools)

  • 265 responses out of the Parents and Carers of c2,200 pupils surveyed.
  • 217 agreed and 48 disagreed.
  • The main themes were pre-booked holidays, alignment with other siblings and whether this shortened the Academic Year.

Conclusion:

We shall be implementing the new Autumn two-week half term from 2022/23. The INSET days at the start of the term mean that schools will not return in August which was the predominant concern.
