Orion Education RISE Open Education Fortnight November 2026

Orion Education is proud to be hosting two events as part of the Department for Education's RISE (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence) Open Education Fortnight.

RISE provides opportunities for schools and trusts to share effective practice, learn from one another and showcase approaches that are making a real difference for children and young people. Through opening our doors to colleagues from across the sector, we hope to support professional collaboration, inspire improvement and contribute to better outcomes for pupils.

Previous attendees have valued the opportunity to see effective practice in action and take away practical ideas for their own settings. Schools attending earlier Orion RISE events reported that the approaches shared had influenced policy development, strengthened monitoring processes and reinforced the importance of building cultures where both attendance and achievement can flourish. These reflections demonstrate the practical impact that can be achieved when schools engage in professional collaboration and share effective practice.

Whether you are a senior leader, middle leader, teacher, SEND professional, attendance lead or education practitioner, these events offer a valuable opportunity to see successful practice in action, engage in professional dialogue and take away practical ideas that can be applied in your own setting.
