New Principal Appointment at Orion Coopers
We are delighted to announce that Ms Janina Aitken will be joining Orion Coopers as Principal from September 2026.
Janina joins from United Learning’s The Totteridge Academy, where she has spent the past ten years in senior leadership, contributing to exceptional Ofsted outcomes and strong student progress, including for disadvantaged pupils.
Speaking about her appointment, Janina said:
“I am truly honoured to join Orion Coopers as Principal and inspired by the opportunity to lead a school where every child can achieve excellence.”
With a clear moral purpose and a strong track record in school improvement, Janina brings a firm commitment to high expectations, high‑quality teaching and creating a culture in which every student can thrive.
Until September, Maria Papachristodoulou will continue to lead the school as Interim Principal. We would like to thank Maria for her continued leadership and commitment during this period, which will ensure stability, continuity and a smooth transition for students, families and staff.
