London RISE Education Fortnight

We are proud to be hosting a series of professional development events as part of London RISE Education Fortnight 2026, a programme aligned with the Department for Education’s Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence (RISE) initiative. The RISE programme brings together educational experts, advisers, and networks across London to support school improvement, raise standards, and promote collaboration across the region. 

Every Day Counts: Transforming Attendance with a Bespoke Toolkit

Dates & Locations:

  • 10–11 March 2026, Orion Blenheim Primary School, Orpington
  • 12–13 March 2026, Orion Scotts Park Primary School, Bromley

This workshop introduces Orion Education’s Trust‑wide Attendance Toolkit, designed in line with the latest DfE guidance to support early identification of attendance barriers, deliver personalised family support, and establish consistent processes for improving attendance Trust‑wide. Delegates will explore practical resources, real implementation examples, and data‑driven insights to strengthen attendance strategies within their own school contexts. 

Key Themes:

  • Evidence‑informed, Trust‑wide approach that has reduced persistent absence and raised attendance outcomes. 
  • Practical use of the DfE‑aligned Attendance Toolkit. 
  • Early identification of barriers and family‑centred intervention.

Best Start, Bright Futures: Excellence in Nursery & Reception Practice

Dates & Location:
11–13 March 2026, Orion Scotts Park Primary School, Bromley 

This event focuses on the high‑quality Early Years provision at Orion Scotts Park Primary, showcasing how strong Nursery and Reception practice builds firm foundations for long‑term learning and success. Delegates will gain insight into evidence‑based EYFS approaches including language‑rich, play‑based learning, systematic phonics, and inclusive practice supporting SEND, disadvantaged and EAL pupils. 

Key Learning Areas:

  • What excellent EYFS practice looks like in Nursery and Reception. 
  • Early language and literacy approaches including systematic phonics. 
  • Inclusive strategies that ensure all learners thrive. 
  • Building strong parental partnerships to extend learning beyond school.
  • Ensuring smooth transition into Key Stage 1.
